Hi, as per my previous blogs you can tell i have a thing for all things 80’s the games the films and of course the music… Plus i have OCD and love to write lists. Hey what can i say the only time OCD comes in handy is when writing the “Ultimate Music Playlists” for the Ipod.
Now i try to avoid writing music playlists in large numbers as im quite interchangable when it comes to playlists. However, i discovered that i liked alot of different 80’s music and could write a playlist of 15 songs for nearly each genre of 80’s music. It was the era for New Wave & Synthpop.
So here is my list so far, i might have to extend some of the catergories to over 20 songs but for now 15 per section. also i have this weird rule that i can only have one artist song entry – despite some artists having multiple brilliant 80’s songs. But i like the challenge of only picking one so here it is.

Some eagle eyed viewers will note that some of these songs were made in either 1979 or 1989 december and didnt get famous till the following decade. But i think we can bend the rules a little bit in making such a collective playlist.
